Common Questions

MIXING & MASTERING FAQ

What's the difference between mixing and mastering?

Mixing is the process of balancing all the individual tracks in your song — vocals, drums, bass, instruments — into one cohesive recording. Mastering is the final polish that prepares your already-mixed song for distribution and playback across all platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, radio, etc.).

How much does mixing and mastering cost in Las Vegas?

At Studio77, mixing starts at $200/song, mastering at $100/song, and the combined package starts at $300/song. EP and album discounts available.

How long does mixing and mastering take?

Standard turnaround is 5-7 business days for a single song. Rush delivery (24-72 hours) is available for an additional fee. Album projects are typically 2-4 weeks.

Do I need to record at Studio77 to use your mixing service?

No. We mix and master tracks recorded anywhere — home studios, other facilities, or self-recorded sessions. Just send us your stems.

What format should I send my files in?

WAV files at 24-bit/44.1kHz or higher. Each track exported as its own stem (vocals, drums, bass, instruments separately). No effects bus printing — we want raw, dry stems for maximum flexibility.
